Twenty miles west of Boston in the historic bedroom community of Concord, Massachusetts, a 78-year-old man is sad and alone. He has just made the heart-wrenching decision to surrender his wife's care to the Memory Unit of a life care community. He begins an unpredictable chapter in his life when he enrolls in a pottery class of all women. When he begins to take new risks, he discovers a side of life he had, of necessity, long overlooked. He chances upon a remarkable friendship with a woman 23 years his junior. He invites her to share a pottery studio in his home. Their lives become interwoven as their friendship deepens.
